Sports Medicine Physicians & Staff

Medical Director – John M. Martinez, M.D.
Dr. Martinez is a board-certified sports medicine and family physician and has treated a wide-range of athletes from the high school and recreational athlete to the elite and professional athlete.

He is a team physician for the USA Triathlon teams competing at the Triathlon World Championships since 2004. Dr. Martinez has been on the medical staff at the Hawaiian Ironman Triathlon World Championship since 1999. He has also provided medical coverage at the Redlands Classic road cycling race, and the NORBA Mountain Bike National Championships.

He is also a triathlete, cyclist, and runner, completing 4 Ironman triathlons, including Kona in 2002.

Sports Chiropractor – Dan Lehnberg, D.C., CCSP, CSCS
Dr. Lehnberg is a board-certified sports chiropractor, 2-time Ironman finisher and an ultra-distance trail runner.

Dr. Lehnberg is A.R.T.&trade (Active Release Technique) certified and specializes in a myofascial and soft-tissue approach to injury rehabilitation. He has also obtained his CSCS (Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification) and is a USA Triathlon and USA Cycling certified coach.

Dr. Lehnberg has been a member of the USA Triathlon medical staff since 2004 and serves as medical director of several local triathlons.
