Dr. Dan Lehnberg, D.C. has returned from a week in Vancouver, Canada as part of the USA Triathlon medical staff covering the ITU Triathlon World Championships. A busy week for Dr. Dan, but as always, a great time taking care of the U.S. athletes and getting them to the start line for their big race!

May 2008
Coastal Sports & Wellness to provide medical support for AVP Pro Beach Volleyball!

Dr. John Martinez will be heading up the on-site sports medicine staff when the AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tournament comes to San Diego on August 1st thru 3rd.

April 2008
Dr John Martinez invited to US Olympic Training Center!

Dr. Martinez has been accepted into the second phase of the US Olympic Medical Volunteer Program, which selects physicians for sports medicine coverage of the US Olympic Team. During this portion of the program, invited sports medicine physicians spend two weeks at the Olympic Training Center. The time is spent working along side of the OTC sports medicine staff, caring for US Olympic athletes.

March 2008
Dr. Dan Lehnberg named to USA Triathlon Medical Support Staff.

Coastal Sports & Wellness is pleased to announce that Dr. Dan Lehnberg, D.C. has been named to USA Triathlon medical team for 2008 ITU Triathlon World Championship in Vancouver, Canada this June! This will be Dr. Lehnberg's third time providing medical care to Team USA triathletes.

USA Triathlon Team Competition at Coastal
The Triathlon Club of San Diego survived a rare weekend rain storm and managed to acculumate
over 1000 miles for the USA Triathlon team competition at the Coastal Sports & Wellness indoor cycling center.
Over 50 tri club members got in their bike workout on a rainy Saturday afternoon.

December 2007
Coastal voted Best of Competitor for 2007!
Coastal Sports & Wellness was named one of the best places for rehab by the readers of Competitor magazine. Obviously, we're more than pleased and honored to have made the list in our first year. Congratulations also to Rehab United and Forester Physical Therapy for achieving the same honor. Hopefully that means there are plenty of endurance athletes overcoming injury and getting back to their sport. Sitting on the sidelines is no fun!

ErgVideo now at Coastal
Looking for the newest indoor cycling experience to help you improve in the off-season? Coastal Sports & Wellness has partnered with ErgVideo and Computrainer to bring a fully-interactive video simulation system to indoor cycling. Featuring ErgVideo, a video cycling simulation designed to work with the Computrainer MultiRider system, cyclists can workout in a variety of race simulations from triathlons to criteriums and road races. Feel the pace of the peloton pick up as they chase down a breakaway group or develop early season fitness.

Looking for a cycling and triathlon-specific indoor cycling class that's designed to make you faster and stronger on the bike next season? Look no further!

Introducing indoor cycling classes at Coastal - featuring the Schwinn IC Pro and the Computrainer MultiRider system. Train on your bike using our group Computrainer system and train with up to 7 other cyclists.

Don't feel like bringing your bike? Then get your workout in on one of our Schwinn indoor cycling bikes.

Classes meet Monday and Thursday at 6pm through the month of December.
Full schedule starts in January.

Opening Day Info - Thursday, August 2nd

Opening Day is scheduled for Thursday, August 2nd. We'll be available for sports medicine consultations and will be added the rest of our services throughout the month of August.

Follow Team Beat Cancer as they compete as a two man team in the Race Across America at our blog and at the Team Beat Cancer blog.

Coastal Sports and Wellness Medical Center will providing medical support at the Carlsbad Marathon on January 21st. Check out Carlsbad Marathon for more information.

November 2006:
Dr. Martinez - Head Team Physician for USA Triathlon

Dr. Martinez will be heading to Canberra, Australia with USA Triathlon as the head team physician for 120 U.S. athletes competing in the ITU Long Course Triathlon World Championships. This is his fourth time as a team physician for an ITU World Championship.

September 2006:

Dr. Martinez named Medical Director of the Carlsbad Marathon and Half Marathons

InMotion Events has selected Dr John Martinez and Coastal Sports and Wellness Medical Center to supervise and direct medical care of athletes participating in the Carlsbad Marathon and Half Marathon on January 21st, 2007.
