Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I visit Coastal Sports and Wellness Medical Center?

Frustrated by fragmented medical care? Tired of getting multiple different answers about your injury from different medical providers?

Looking for a medical group that understands athletes and active lifestyles? We know that the treatment for an injury isn’t “Well just stop running/swimming/cycling until it stops hurting.”

At Coastal Sports and Wellness, we have a team approach to getting people back quickly to their sport. Physicians, rehabilitation and fitness specialists all work together to devise a custom treatment plan for each patient. We discuss our cases weekly in team meetings to ensure patients are continuing to improve.

Health and fitness is a continuum, and Coastal Sports and Wellness also offers services for the ‘healthly’ athlete from our sports massage therapists, personal trainers and coaches as well as our Computrainer Cycling Spin Center and Exercise Testing and Physiology Lab

What insurances do you accept?

Can I see you if I have an HMO?

You can see us, however we’re unable to bill HMO insurances at this time. Payment for any services would be the patient’s responsibility. We do offer discounts for same-day payments.

What are your prices if I don't have insurance?

We charge $150 for a 30 to 45 minutes new patient visit. Our follow-up appointments are $75 for 30 minutes appointments and $110 for 45 minute appointments.

Can you bill my insurance for personal training, Vo2max testing or Spin Classes?

These services are considered ‘non-medical’ services are are typically not covered by insurances. We ask for payment in advance for these services but will provide any paperwork or documentation needed if you believe your insurance covers these services
